SIA Update for Licence Renewal
Starting 1 April 2025, SIA brought a new update. People holding an SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence must complete a refresher qualification before applying for renewal. If you qualified as a Door Supervisor before April 2021, you need to complete either the Top-Up Training or the Refresher course. You have until 31 March 2025 to take this step.

Entry Requirements of SIA Door Supervisor Refresher Course
To join our Door Supervisor Refresher course, you need to meet a couple of simple requirements.
Firstly, you must hold a current SIA Door Supervisor licence. This course is designed to update your existing knowledge. Having a valid licence shows you’ve already completed the initial training.
Secondly, if you got your Door Supervisor qualification before April 2021, you will likely need to complete the SIA top-up course. This is because the refresher course builds upon the updated knowledge provided in the top-up training.
In short, you need:
- Have a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (or one that expired in the last 3 months)
- Bring ID (Passport/Driving Licence + your SIA licence)
- Must have a valid First Aid certificate (Emergency First Aid at Work or higher, with 12+ months left).
